what does it take to blog

Hi...

I am back after a long exodus...I was busy with "nothing"...but really "nothing" consists of many things...and as you realize what "nothing" consists you will know that it is everything...he he..just kidding...

what lies in future? can one predict? is astrology a scientific endeavor? how can we know what's in store? every morning I wake up and think what needs to be done or accomplished today and seldom am I able to finish what ever I have lined up for the day...why is this procrastination? why is life so unpredictable? what keeps one focused and attend to everything?

Off late I believe that it is easy to work 24/7 than just sit around at home doing nothing...I wonder how many "house-wives" sit home and do nothing...I also wonder what the millions of unemployed do sitting at home? of course applying for jobs is a job too..but it is very depressing...

I am amazed at the energy levels that people maintain with busy schedules...I am these days amazed by AB (now @66) still goes strong ...does everything as part of his commitments and still finds time to blog...of course a busy life as his has many instances to write up about...but what do people like me have to write?

there are many things...that this blog needs to know and the chance readers of this blog entry if any...

let me stop here and get back once I think of something interesting to scribble..

Power

I have been busy and am not able to write anything...but today...AB in his blog wrote a very decent entry ..."palace power"...in which he talks about the film Sarkar Raj directed by Ram Gopal Varma. If you have time please read the blog at
blogs dot bigadda dot com /ab/ and view day 41.

Here is my response to his entry...more once I get some time..

Dear Amitabh Ji,

By far the BEST blog of yours and a very realistic depiction of what "power" means...I presume this is your tribute to Sarkar Raj. Nevertheless, I think you can screen write a good non-fiction in near future.

I am a strong believer of "power" and think that without power, you can not achieve any thing.... as Robert Moses (master builder of New York) once said..."those who can, build, those who can't, criticize".

I always believe that power is always hidden in you...the only thing you have to do is to look inward and arouse it. This is real empowerment. I also believe that empowerment can not be "given", or to say, some one can not be empowered, if they fail to see the power within themselves. In my opinion, empowerment comes with time and difficult situations. Once a crisis strikes and a person is cornered, he/she has no option but to fight (for survival) or to perish, which no no one would like.

Power also has many paradoxes and to understand them and to survive power, one needs shrewdness, tact and perseverance. The aim is not to show that one is superior or otherwise...but it is to remain in a position that no one can challenge. This is the very motto of Chess, where you have to outguess your opponent and reach the destination. I am a great fan of chess, so am I a fan of politics and politicians (let us not debate as to whether good or bad) and I am the greatest fan of the children on streets who master the power game and survive the game every day. I pray to god to give these children all the strength to face these challenges. We are too lucky to live in this world of comfort, talking and chatting about issues that are beyond the three entities: Roti, Kapda our Makaan.

These are the few words I wanted to add to your blog today.
